Eligibility: Hillsborough County School Board Chairwoman April Griffin writes a letter to the Florida High School Athletics Association to reconsider a ruling that a student was ineligible to play sports at Plant High, despite her own district’s similar ruling. Teacher pay: Pinellas County schools and the local teachers union tentatively agree to provide employees in that bargaining unit with 5 percent across-the-board raises. Tampa Bay Times.
